At Fabian Leadership Resources, we connect young leaders with business owners and entrepreneurs of today. How do we do this? Well, we are a team of business experts and educators of many disciplines. We utilize our combined skills and experience to accomplish two things:
1) To inspire students to strive for higher education by further integrating technology into education.
2) To assist business owners with launching new concepts and developing business strategies.

Carlos Salazar Ed.D
Founder & CEO
As the President and CEO of Fabian Leadership Resource, Dr. Carlos Salazar hopes to play an instrumental role in changing the way students learn in the USA by applying new technology, unique software solutions, and creative innovation into their curriculum. Carlos quotes, “Imagine a world where students are able to have access to active learning models and be equipped with the ability to control their development outside of the classroom. What if all young adults had access to a computer at age 14, without breaking the bank?” He is excited for what the company is aiming to deliver, and he is confident in assembling a unique, qualified, and diverse team to make this happen. Carlos holds a PhD in Organizational Leadership and Development, an MBA, MPM, and he is currently attending Harvard's Professional Development Program in Leadership and Management. Carlos has over 11 years of executive leadership experience, assisting several of the world's leading innovators in developing and implementing new technology solutions. During his free time, Carlos enjoys spending time with his partner, Miguel, traveling, singing, playing with his two puppies Cooper and Penelope, and catching up with friends.
Maureen
Sollenburger M.S.
Director of Education
As Director of Education, Maureen hopes to help by ensuring accuracy and quality in all that we do. Receiving her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Whittier College and her Masters also in Psychology from the University of Phoenix, she has finally found the opportunity within FLR to meld her two interests of Child and Organizational Psychology. Maureen has worked at the Naval Hospital of San Diego to implement a new payroll system while streamlining and decentralizing civilian payroll processes for all 2200 civilian employees. Travel is what enriches her life but Maureen's everyday hobby is swimming. She has competitively swam for almost a decade, just barely missing the cut for Olympic Trials when she was 18 years old.

Rafid AlSadiq M.S
As Director of IT, William (Bill) brings a forward thinking technical background with a bachelors in “Interdisciplinary Computing in the Arts” from University of California San Diego. He brings 7 years experience as a QA Engineer, and was lead QA for Apple’s voted app of the year in 2013. He hopes to help bridge the gap between technology and the classroom, with an intuitive user experience. During the night, Bill loves to stay up all night long and create electronic music in his spare time. During the day he loves to sail and hopes to make a solo trip from California to Hawaii soon. When you meet him, don’t forget to ask him to beatbox for you!
As the Finance Director at Fabian Leadership Resources, Rafid hopes to insure that the organization is making the right financial decisions. His goal is to achieve fast and sustainable growth, maximizing the value for stakeholders in the short and long term. Rafid has a degree in Information Technology from Arab Open University in Bahrain. He emigrated from Saudi Arabia 5 years ago to pursue his dreams in the U.S. He graduated with an MBA and MPP dual degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu. He brings more than 7 years of experience in leadership, business development, business analysis, and finance/HR management. Before his move to San Diego, Rafid was the general manager in the Institute for Gulf Affairs in Washington, D.C. His entrepreneurship spirit eventually guided him to take hold of this opportunity with FLR. Outside the office, Rafid is a cyclist, hiker, and basketball player. He likes to try new foods from different cultures, watch the latest movies, and relax at home watching TV shows. He also likes to teach statistics and finance in his free time. His next mission is to learn how to surf while he is in San Diego.

Accounting Specialist
Alina Shen, B.S.
As the Accountant at Fabian Leadership Resources, Alina Qi Shen graduated with an MBA in accounting and finance from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at the University of California Riverside. She brings two years of coursework experience to FLR and one year of experience working as a finance intern in Hong Kong and the United States in World’s Fortune 500 financial service companies. She is currently pursuing her Chartered Financial Analyst license. Her daily work not only includes cost accounting and internal auditing, but also assisting the finance department in overall finance strategy for the company.
Leadership Training and Development Coordinator
Amit Sandhu
As the Leadership Training and Development Coordinator, Amitoj believes in leadership through sincerity, as his motto is “say what you mean, and mean what you say”. He believes in what Forward Thinking stands for and believes that it can help anyone realize their potential and inner superstar. He wants to see the Forward Thinking program spread across the United States as he believes it can positively impact anyone and everyone. He is the former Student Body President at Ohlone College and is currently serving as the National President-Elect of HOSA-Future Health Professionals. Currently, he is studying Human Biology and hopes to attend medical school. His favorite sports are tennis, soccer, basketball and a good game of chess.

Carolina Mendes
As the Sales & Marketing Specialist, Carolina graduated from the Universidade Toledo in Brazil with a Law Degree and has recently acquired a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington in Seattle. Carolina is very social; she loves networking and being around different people with different backgrounds. She is currently a member of the Girls Rising Program in San Diego. For fun, Carol loves being outdoors hiking and paddle boarding.

Business Support Specialist
Christina Pham
As our Business Support Specialist, Christina is currently attending the University of California, San Diego where she is pursuing a B.S. in Management Science and minor in Accounting and Business. She possesses a positive attitude with creative thinking skills and a great attention to detail. She aims to apply these skills to each project she is challenged with and hopes to expand her knowledge of marketing and business operations. Christina loves being outdoors, staying active, dancing, traveling, and exploring new things. Due to her adventurous nature, she has developed injury prone tendencies. Christina has dislocated a shoulder and knee, broken three fingers, sprained her wrist, and probably has the general wellbeing of a 60 year old, but that hasn’t stopped her yet!

Human Resources Specialist
Diamante brings a fresh perspective to the team as a new business graduate. Her knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources makes her important to the growth of our team.
Fernando Weyh, B.S
Front End Developer
As our Front End Developer, Fernando just received a Certificate in Information Technology from San Diego University for Integrative Studies and has a bachelor in Business Management. He likes to be a pioneer in testing new technologies and is committed to provide excellence within his job's results, supporting our team to get the job well done and focused to get the most of this everlasting learning experience. With a recent 5 years involved with ERP System's projects and support, he is also a Webdesign enthusiast.
Miguel Larios
Evaluation and Training Specialist
Miguel is an Evaluation and Training Specialist at Fabian Leadership Resources. He is one of the founding members of Pride-Fit and currently serves as a board member. He is also the Chair of the Selections Committee for the Young Professional Council at the San Diego LGBT center. His career began as a kindergarten teacher and then transitioned into social work counseling. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Development with an Emphasis in Teaching, a Master's degree in Education and a state of California Multiple Subject Credential with SB2042 Authorization to teach English Language Learners. Miguel will provide technical assistance and training as needed to FLR staff and interns. Miguel reviews all employee and client files and will develop and implement an orientation for all new staff members.
Neil Solidum
IT and Social Media Support Specialist
As our IT Support Analyst, Neil is pursuing a double major in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at San Diego State University. Alongside his double major, he recently received three associate degrees in Mathematics, Physics, and Accounting from GrossmontCuyamaca College. He is a passionate individual who loves exploring new technologies that could incorporate his expertise. As an engineering student, Neil has learned that there are a vast amount of possibilities to learning everything in life. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, working out at the gym, and playing tennis.

LMS Implementation Analyst
As the LMS Implementation Analyst, JJ loves to utilize what she has learned at school to contribute to FLR’s business model. Recently graduated from San Diego State University, JJ received her bachelor degree in Information Systems. She has passion in both the IT and business development industries and wants to become an expert in those two big fields. JJ has worked as a student assistant for the International Recruitment Office of SDSU for more than 2 years. She loves working with people from different cultures and believes that a diverse working environment can inspire great ideas. In her free time she enjoys running and watching movies.
Shannon Rodriguez
Customer Service Representative
As the Customer Service Representative, Shannon not only brings a great sales and customer service background of over 7 years, but also her passion and knowledge of communication studies. She will be receiving her A.A this year and will be transferring to San Diego State University in 2016. Shannon loves working with people and enjoys being surrounded in creative working environments where you are able to express and communicate your ideas freely. In her free time Shannon enjoys going to see musicals at the San Diego Civic Theater, watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with her 5 year old daughter Scarlett, where they go on movie dates and attend Scarlett’s weekly ballet, tap, and piano lessons.
