Summary:
Under the direction of the IT Director, the Front End Developer - Internship architects, develops, and executes websites and applications using web technologies (i.e. HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) which function in a web browser or act as compilation input for non-web browser environments. Taking the lead of managing complex details about current projects that require analyzing design requirements, this individual will also recommend technical solutions to make projects scalable, sustainable, and efficient. They also debug websites to fix mistakes in the code ensuring that they are error-free for network administrators and end users.
Primary Responsibilities:
Development and creation of websites and web-based applications.
Design, test, repair, improve, and update client projects.
Analyze code and debug applications.
Document code, including commenting and reporting on features.
Ability to adapt new versions of software.
Interpret requirements and create strategic plans that include projected timelines, risks, possible issues, suggestions, and overall effectiveness of the project’s vision.
Work across teams and with clients to identify and solve problems, ensuring the holistic success of the project at hand.
Creating, customizing and maintaining the website’s design and User Interface.
Creating and editing templates for a web development framework.
Working on the styling and providing animations to the web pages.
Working with web designers to turn their static pages into working web pages.
Working with back end developers to implement their code to develop interactive and dynamic web pages.
Editing and controlling the content which is being displayed at the website.
Staying updated with the emerging technologies and trends.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field.
Knowledge of one Markup Language: HTML – This includes knowledge of HTML syntax and tags (including HTML 5).
Knowledge of a Styling Language: CSS – This includes basic knowledge of Cascading Style Sheets(including CSS 2 and CSS 3).
Knowledge of a Client Side Scripting Language, primarily JavaScript (and jQuery) – This includes good skills on working with Javascript and the jQuery library.
· Knowledge of cross browser testing and debugging.
· Comprehension of performance optimization using tools such as PageSpeed.
· Experience with Photoshop and a CMS like WordPress.
· Knowledge of object oriented programming (OOP) and PHP.
· Familiarity of SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
· Knowledge of animation tools like Flash and Dreamweaver, Fireworks.
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities.
Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.
Able to keep up in a fast-paced work environment.
Excellent English oral and written communication skills.

Compensation:
30-day introductory period,
After the introductory period, a 40% commission would be rewarded for any consulting projects.
